More than 30 yra ago,thru Hashing we met a wonderful friend,John.You were one of a kind,always fun and full of stories and always yapping.It was no wonder your name was Never Ending Story.You loved Indian food and it always made us happy to cook for you.Thankyou John for your friendship & beautiful memories.You will always have a special place in our hearts.

It’s funny how you can know someone for such a short time, yet somehow they leave a lasting impression. We met through the Hash and over a few beers, but it was that barbeque at my house, before you headed back to the States, when I really got to know you. You were genuine, interesting, and simply great company. I’ll miss our conversations, your sense of humor, and, of course, the jokes and beers we shared. Goodbye, John. I’m glad our paths crossed, even if only for a short while. Until we meet again, my old friend.

John, thank you for teaching me to hash. Thank you for all the stories, the circles and the beers. Thank you for the baptism and accepting me into the hash. Even though I have not attended in the years since corona, I have been keeping the hashing spirit alive by making my own trails. It will be an honor to join you for one last on-on.

John, I still don’t really know how to put into words what losing you means to me. For so many years you were part of my everyday life, lunches, dinners, beers, hashing, conversations, jokes, and just spending time together. We were almost always together, and people often joked that I was your “real son.” In many ways, that is exactly how I felt. There is an enormous emptiness now that you are gone, and I honestly don’t know yet how life is supposed to feel without you in it. I am incredibly grateful for all the years, memories and friendship we shared. You were one of my closest friends and one of the most important people in my life. I will miss you more than I can say. On-On, John. Never Ending Story. ❤️
